Meet Jean!

A passionate wellness guide and long-time practitioner of yoga and meditation

Originally from France, Jean has been living and practicing in Cambodia for nearly 30 years.

He has been a teacher of Vipasanna meditation for over 20 years and began incorporating yoga into his practice 8 years ago. He began his yogic studies with practices of Hatha and has worked to include other various teachings in his life as well. In 2017, he received his aerial yoga certificate and how includes aerial yoga at Blue Indigo Yoga.

Jean is passionate about holistic spiritual living and enjoys discovering new practices to learn and share. In 2015, he completed a Qi Gong workshop with the European Institute of Qi Gong and after spent 6 months learning to be a master teacher.

Blue Indigo Yoga & Mindfulness is where Jean lives with his family, deepens his own practice, and learns and shares with all the special people who pass through the center.

Jean graduated with a degree in fine art in France and his traveled a 42-year yogic path of practice and explored a variety of methods including art with the Kissi tribe and the Songhai Empire in western Africa.

Jean has also been the co-founder and director of the Angkor photo festival for the past 15 years and has deep involvement with humanitarian projects in Cambodia.

He now lives at Blue Indigo Yoga in Puk Russey, Cambodia with his wife Mithia, dog Lila, and two cats.

Blue Indigo has proudly hosted hundreds of students and many teacher trainings and workshops. Here, you belong to an accepting and inclusive yoga center, surrounded by people who support you and nurture your growth and well-being.

Jean has recently been practicing and incorporating sound healing and mindful resonance into his own practice and offerings at the center

His long-term goal is to develop Yoga and wellness in Cambodia by operating and providing teacher trainings and inviting world-renowned practitioners to host their workshops at the center.

Jean enjoys welcoming a diverse group of students and teachers with different backgrounds, styles, and skills to create a community where people can share and grow in their practice.
