BLUE INDIGO Retreat

Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Frequently asked questions

When was Blue Indigo Yoga started?

As of 2025, Blue Indigo Yoga has been working to deepen the practices of our guests for 27 years. We began incorporating meditation into our offerings 20 years ago and have been training new teachers for 15 years. Most recently, we are developing a mindfulness practice here in Cambodia that can also be extended to the local Khmer people.

Why are we passionate about this work?

Blue Indigo Yoga was founded by Jean Yves over 2 decades ago in Siem Reap. Since then, Jean has been living here at the retreat and expanding his own spiritual practice and working on how that can be shared with others. In 2020, in the aftermath of the Covid pandemic, Blue Indigo Yoga moved to Phnom Penh and officially opened the new retreat 3 years later on the shores of the Mekong River in Puk Reussey. Jean has been captivated by the peace and tranquility of the Mekong for many years and is very excited about the opportunity to continue the retreat on the river.

How do you get from Phnom Penh to Blue Indigo Yoga?

We have a dedicated driver named Tom who will ensure you arrive at our retreat safely either from the city or the airport. Transportation costs around 12 USD for a one-way journey.
